No Taillights Leads to Brief Pursuit, Arrest

Deputy at Car ComputerSunday night, just before the reckless 18-wheeler shutdown I-65, Deputies came upon a car with 1 headlight and no taillights. They attempted to stop the vehicle, but it proceeded to flee on Barnett Chapel Rd.
 
Deputies were able to apprehend the driver, David Wayne Barton, 50 of Somerville was arrested and charged with:

  • 32-5a-195 - Driving While Suspended, Revoked, or Cancelled
  • 13A-12-214 - Dangerous Drugs-POM 2 Possession of Marijuana
  • 13A-10-52 - Attempting to Elude a Police Officer (Misdemeanor)
  • 32-5A-112(B) - Traffic-Fail Stop Sign
 
He also had warrants with another county. Bond $3,300.00
