Off Duty Detail Requests

The Morgan County Sheriff's Office provides the opportunity for businesses, private citizens, and organizations to contract additional law enforcement services with off-duty sheriff's deputies. During off-duty employment, deputies are directed by their law enforcement powers, which are governed by state code. Deputies do not have the authority to enforce private employers' rules and regulations, and cannot perform non-law enforcement tasks.

Basic Information:
Sheriff Deputies are available for the following types of work:

Visible presence
Protective services
On-site security
Theft prevention
Traffic control
Other events

Compensation Information:

Rate: $55.00 an hour
Hours: Minimum 4 hours
