Sgt Chris Dillard Retires While Battling ALS

Sgt Chris Dillard in Uniform in front of flag[Retirement] Today, Sgt. Chris Dillard officially retires from the Morgan County Sheriff's Office! This brings a close to a long career dedicated to protecting and serving the people of Morgan County and the surrounding area! He spent the early days with the Decatur Police Department before joining the TVA Police Force for several years and then spent years as the Chief at Owens Crossroads and Somerville before joining the Sheriff's Office. All along the way, he made, friends made a difference, and left an impact!
In 2021, Chris was diagnosed with ALS and through his ongoing battle reminded everyone just what a special person he is!
