Human Trafficking, Child Sexploitation Operation Leads to Four Arrests

On October 24, 2025, the Morgan County Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Division(CID) conducted "Operation Fright Night" focused on identifying suspects who engaged in sexually explicit conversations with children online and travel to meet a child for sex.
"Focusing on catching those who would prey on our children is a top priority. Whether it is online or in person, we will continue to develop ways to intercept these threats. I'm proud of our team and the time they have dedicated to these types of operations" Sheriff Ron Puckett
During the operation, Investigators arrested 4 individuals:
Raul Ledesma Aleman, 47 of Danville, charged with:
- 13A-6-152 - Human Trafficking 1st
- 13A-6-124 - Sex Offense-Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act
- 13A-6-122 - Sex Offense-Electronic Solicitation of a Child
- ICE Detainer
Barry Canaan Cook, 36 of Decatur, charged with:
- 13A-6-152 - Human Trafficking 1st
- 13A-6-124 - Sex Offense-Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act
- 13A-6-122 - Sex Offense-Electronic Solicitation of a Child
Terrance Louis Carter, 33 of Decatur, charged with:
- 13A-6-152 - Human Trafficking 1st
- 13A-6-124 - Sex Offense-Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act
- 13A-6-122 - Sex Offense-Electronic Solicitation of a Child
- Warrant: Child Support $11,940.26
Logan Micahl Hansard, 28 of Decatur, charged with:
- 13A-6-152 - Human Trafficking 1st
- 13A-6-124 - Sex Offense-Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act
- 13A-6-122 - Sex Offense-Electronic Solicitation of a Child
All four subjects were transported to and booked in the Morgan County Jail. They are held with No Bond. Due to the charges, they will each have an Aniah's Law hearing to determine if bond will be denied.
