Suspicious Vehicle leads to Drug Arrest

On April, 27, 2025 Deputies on patrol came across a suspicious vehicle at a gas station on Highway 31 near Interstate 65 in Lacon. The driver explained that he experiencing car trouble. Through the interaction, it was determined that the subject's Driver's License was currently suspended. During a search of the vehicle, a black backpack was located, which the driver indicated contained intimate recreational devices. A search of the bag discovered a small baggie containing a white crystalline substance that tested positive as methamphetamine as well as a glass pipe.
Deputies arrested Daniel Lee Reid of Tafford, AL and charged him with:
- 13A-12-260 - Unlawful Possession Drug Paraphernalia
- 13A-12-212 - Unlawful Possession/Receipt of Controlled Substance
Reid was transported to the Morgan County Jail. Bond $1,300.00
