As part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, Agents with the Morgan County Sheriff's Drug Enforcement Unit initiated a traffic stop on Runnymead Ave SW in Decatur. The vehicle failed to stop and attempted to elude law enforcement.
The subject was quickly taken into custody after attempting to flee on foot.

Agents arrested Rockdale Deshun Slaughter, 30 of Decatur charged with:

• 13A-10-41 - Resisting Arrest
• 13A-10-129 - Tampering with Physical Evidence
• 13A-12-214 - Dangerous Drugs-POM 2 Possession of Marijuana
• 13A-10-52(c) - Attempting to Elude a Police Officer (Felony)

The subject was transported to and booked in the Morgan County Jail. Currently held with No bond.
